Fox Sports Net continues NASCAR lineup

LOS ANGELES -- The FOX networks made a major commitment to NASCAR racing in 2001, and even though their primary program of live NASCAR races ended with the June 24 Dodge/Save Mart 350 NASCAR Winston Cup Series race at Sears Point Raceway, NASCAR will still have a presence in the season's second half on Fox Sports Net.

TOTALLY NASCAR, which airs Monday-Friday at 6 p.m. local time, is a half-hour of NASCAR news and features with host Steve Byrnes and Kirsten Gum. The show will conclude its inaugural run Nov. 16, the Friday before the Winston Cup season finale NAPA 500 from Atlanta Motor Speedway.
"TOTALLY NASCAR not only covers the headlines and news of the day," its publicity trailer says, "but heads behind the scenes to give race fans an 'all-access pass' to get first-hand knowledge of how the NASCAR world works."
NASCAR THIS MORNING, which airs Sundays from 10:30 a.m.-12 p.m. ET, is a live, 90-minute, studio-based show that provides extensive pre-race coverage of that day's NASCAR Winston Cup Series race.
The show will continue in its present time slot through Sept. 2. When NFL THIS MORNING begins airing for the National Football League season, from Sept. 9-Nov. 18, NASCAR THIS MORNING will air from 9-10:30 a.m. ET.
Throughout the program, the latest NASCAR news is presented in an entertaining format that includes live reports from the track, analysis from a panel of in-studio experts and features on the biggest NASCAR stories of the week.

John Roberts hosts NASCAR THIS MORNING alongside a crew of analysts including NASCAR driver Derrike Cope, who has competed in all three series this season; former Winston Cup and Truck Series crew chief Bill Ingle; journalist Steve Waid and MRN Radio pit reporter Winston Kelley.
This show will conclude its inaugural run Nov. 18.
NASCAR VICTORY LANE, which airs Sundays from 9-10 p.m. local time, is a live, 60-minute primetime wrap-up from a studio of all the events of the day.

Series race is hosted by Roberts with analysis from Cope. It will conclude its inaugural run Nov. 18.
NASCAR TECH, which airs Sunday mornings at 10 a.m. ET, is "For those who want to know what's happening with the cars on the race track and why," its publicity brief says.
NASCAR TECH's 30-minute program is hosted by two-time Winston Cup champion and Hall of Fame member Ned Jarrett and co-host Stephanie Durner.
NASCAR Tech will run from 10-10:30 a.m. ET through Sept. 2. It will then air from 12-12:30 p.m. ET from Sept. 9-Dec. 29, when its inaugural season concludes.
FOX Sports passes its Winston Cup TV race coverage off to NBC and TNT starting with the July 7 Pepsi 400 at Daytona, while the FX cable network will handle its final show with the July 1 GNC Live Well 250 Busch Series race from The Milwaukee Mile.
Additionally, FSN's NATIONAL SPORTS REPORT provides NASCAR updates and features, nightly at 10:30 p.m. local time.
