TNT brings talent to the table

Atlanta -- With the second half of the NASCAR season comes many changes and additions. Starting with the Pepsi 400 at Daytona, NBC first takes over the broadcast duties from Fox.

But several other NASCAR Winston Cup and Busch Grand National Series events will be seen on Turner Network Television, whose own staff will provide coverage for select events.

TNT brings talent to the table

While Benny Parsons, Alan Bestwick, Bill Weber, Matt Yocum, Marty Snider and Dave Burns are doing their deal, TNT will have Mike Hogewood, Glenn Jarrett, Ralph Sheheen, Liz Allison and another unnamed reporter handling the other races.

Here's a brief look at the TNT talent.

Mike Hogewood, booth announcer and play-by-play

-- Television sports reporter/anchor in Greensboro, N.C. -- Has done pit reporting for TNN and TBS Motorsports -- Handled booth announcing for TNN and was a guest host of RaceDay for the network

Glenn Jarrett, pit reporter

-- Has been a pit reporter for TNN network covering Winston Cup and Busch events -- Is the brother of Dale Jarrett, son of Ned Jarrett -- Worked for MRN Radio as a pit reporter

Ralph Shaheen, pit reporter

-- Pit reporter for CBS Sports last five years covering Winston Cup and Busch Series events -- Also worked for TNN and TBS as a pit reporter and some booth announcing -- Has worked for ESPN and has hosted various motorsports shows

Liz Allison, pit reporter

TNT brings talent to the table

-- In addition to her writing new writing duties for NASCAR.com, she will make her television debut with TNT -- She will be doing non-racing stories, as well as covering the races -- Was married to the late Davey Allison
