Seems several teams are very interested in talking with Hut Stricklin, as of late, because not many drivers are in the position that Stricklin is right now.

He has a sponsor, Hills Bros. Coffee and Sara Lee, and a crew chief in Felipe Lopez all packaged together looking for a place to race next year.

Both the driver and sponsor have announced they would be leaving the Junie Donlavey-owned No. 90 Ford at the end of this season. Where they will end up is the question.

Reportedly, they have been talking with Bill Davis Racing in regards to the No. 93 Dodge team.

Amoco and Dave Blaney have already announced they would be departing at season's end. Other reports have the Hills Bros/Stricklin/Lopez trio ending up at Andy Petree Racing. That team has a driver and sponsor opening for its No. 33 Chevrolet as Oakwood Homes and Joe Nemechek are gone after this year.

Blaney has already signed with the Jasper Motorsports No. 77 Ford team for the 2002 season. Nemechek is most likey headed to the Haas-Carter Motorsports No. 26 Ford being departed by Jimmy Spencer.
