Bobby Hamilton Jr.

Rumor has it that Bobby Hamilton Jr. may end up in the No. 25 Rensi Motorsports Chevrolet in the NASCAR Busch Series next year.
If that were to happen, the car's current driver, Randy Tolsma, might find himself in limbo. Tolsma began the year in the Craftsman Truck Series for Rensi in an unsponsored vehicle, but had to bail out due to lack of funding. He then took over for David Donohue in the team's Busch Series car sponsored by Team Marines.
Hamilton already announced he was leaving the Carroll Racing-owned No. 26 Chevrolet in the Busch Series, and said he was looking at an offer from a Winston Cup team and one from a Busch team.
A Cup offer might come from Morgan-McClure Motorsports, where Hamilton drove six of the last seven races in the No. 4 Chevrolet. Morgan-McClure is hoping to add him in a second team since Mike Skinner will be taking over the No. 4. The one major hurdle stopping Morgan-McClure is lack of sponsorship for a second car. But, word is they are waiting to hear from a potential one.
WHAT'S UP WITH HORNADAY

Ron Hornaday

Since Ron Hornaday departed ways with A.J. Foyt Racing as the driver of the No. 14 Pontiac, speculation has run wild as to where and with whom he will be driving next year.
One rumor has Hornaday returning to the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series in the No. 2 Ultra Motorsports-owned Dodge. The truck's previous driver, Scott Riggs, is moving to the Busch Series in the No. 10 ppc Racing Ford.
However, Jason Leffler, just unseated from the No. 01 Chip Ganassi Racing-owned Dodge, is also rumored to be in the Ultra truck next year.
Another murmuring has Hornaday headed to the No. 43 Cary Agajanian/Mike Curb-owned Chevrolet in the Busch Series. Jay Sauter started the year for the team but was released late in 2001. Hornaday stepped in to finish out the year.
The one thing that may be holding up the deal is sponsorship. Farm Stores and Morton Salt had been on the No. 43 car, but have left the team. Word is if Channellock, who was on the Armando Fitz-owned No. 11 in Busch, can be signed, then Hornaday would be part of the package.
EARNHARDT GETS NEW SPONSOR
Look for Kerry Earnhardt to be a cut above the rest in sponsorship next year in the Busch Series. Supercuts, a national chain of hair salons, is reportedly going to be a sponsor on Earnhardt's No. 8 Chevrolet next year.

Kerry, the eldest son of the late Dale Earnhardt, is also going to have some serious backing with Terry Bradshaw, NFL Hall of Fame quarterback turned Fox broadcaster, as a part owner.
Armando Fitz will also continue as part owner of the team. As previously reported in The Buzz, Earnhardt's cars will be worked on by some factions of Dale Earnhardt Inc. However, the daily operation will continue out of the Fitz-owned facility.
A formal announcement is expected to be made in New York City this week by all parties involved.
