Good jobs are tough to come by in Winston Cup racing -- and that's why the departure of Jimmy Elledge from Andy Petree Racing’s No. 55 Chevrolet has already stirred a lot of interest among prospective crew chiefs.

The Buzz: Dec. 7, 2001

Word has it that two top-20 crew chiefs have already contacted team owner Andy Petree and general manager Steve Barkdoll about the position.

The job is generally considered a very attractive one. The team builds its own chassis and engines and employs a veteran driver in Bobby Hamilton, who finished 18th in the standings in 2001, with one victory.
