Eight Chevrolet Craftsman Truck Series teams are hoping to take advantage of a clear but cold day Friday at Talladega Superspeedway in the final day of a two-day Chevrolet test at the 2.66-mile facility.

The Buzz: Jan. 4, 2002

On Thursday, troubled by snowy, cold conditions, the Silverados of Mike Bliss, David Starr and Dennis Setzer had limited runs on the track for about two hours. Conditions are supposed to be clear Friday, but temperatures are expected to be only in the 30s.

Dodge Craftsman Truck Series teams are expected for a two-day Talladega test over the weekend, preparing for the season-opening NCTS event at Daytona International Speedway on Feb. 15. Busch Series cars are signed up to be at Talladega Monday and Tuesday.
