Look for two-time NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series champion Ron Hornaday to drive the No. 24 Chevrolet Silverado from the Hendrick Motorsports stable -- if sponsorship can be obtained -- beginning with the Florida Dodge Dealers 250 on Feb. 15 at Daytona International Speedway.

Hendrick’s trucks, driven by three-time champion Jack Sprague and Ricky Hendrick, won a total of five times in 2001, with Sprague notching four wins in the No. 24 on his way to the Truck Series championship.
Hornaday is one of more than 35 drivers is scheduled to open a three-day truck test at Daytona on Friday.
BEVERLY HILLS BUST
Seems the NASCAR Busch Series may be looking for someplace different to hold its annual awards ceremony next year. Beverly Hills, Calif., has been the location for the banquet since 1998.
Word is Atlanta, Ga., is being considered as the new location. With a majority of teams located in the Charlotte, N.C., area, the move would cut down on travel time to and from the ceremony.
SUDSY SPONSOR
Rumor has Coors Light set as a sponsor for the 2002 Daytona 500. The beer company, who currently sponsors Sterling Marlin in the No. 40 Dodge of Chip Ganassi Racing, may be named the official beer of the season-opening race.
The race name will remain the Daytona 500, as it has since its inception in 1959. But Coors Light might be listed as the official beer or presenter of the race.
