Doug Randolph proved in 2000 that he had what it took to make an impact in Winston Cup racing, when he stepped up as the crew chief of rookie of the year candidate Dave Blaney's Bill Davis Racing Pontiacs midway through the season. Randolph's leadership and Blaney's skill led to the No. 93 team posting several impressive late season runs in qualifying and races. Randolph will have to trade off every ounce of that momentum in 2001 as Davis debuts his Dodge Intrepids.
