Wisconsin native Robbie Reiser used the bonds he had forged in more than two successful Busch Series seasons with home state driver Matt Kenseth to engineer a breakthrough Winston Cup Rookie of the Year campaign in 2000. Reiser, a long-time Midwest short track driver who had a spotty driving career in the Busch Series before concentrating on a very successful team ownership role, engineered Kenseth's first victory in his rookie year, in the grueling Coca-Cola 600.
