Busch Series veteran Jason Keller had a career year in 2000, his seventh full season in the series. Keller finished second to ppc Racing teammate Jeff Green and despite the record 615-point margin between the two had a good year, posting 13 top-5 and 19 top-10 finishes in 32 starts in his No. 57 Chevrolet.
To a slightly lesser degree than his teammate's, Keller's consistency was what earned him his best career finish. He logged 26 top-15 finishes and with Green, became the first 1-2 team finishers in series history. Keller won his fourth career race at Dover in early summer. His best start was the outside pole at St. Louis. Keller led six races for a total of 104 laps.
Keller, who attended Clemson University and also works for the family chemical business, was the 1990 Slim Jim All Pro Rookie of the Year and finished fourth and third in the series in 1990-91. He has five career Slim Jim Series wins.
