More than either of his two brothers, Mark Green, the middle of the racing trio from Owensboro, Ky., has struggled to make his mark in the sport. In 2000, Green started 30 of 32 races and posted a season best finish of seventh at Talladega. His log, which numbered one top-10 finish, left him 26th in points.

Green opened his fifth full-time season in the series with Davis & Weight Motorsports, driving the team's No. 55 Fords. He closed last season with 12 top-25 finishes and managed to only have three DNFs.

As his brothers did, Green began racing in karts and won six state championships. He moved into racing in the ASA ACDelco Challenge Series and in Late Models around his Owensboro home between 1982-94. He finished second in the 1988 All American Challenge Series.
