Tim Fedewa has struggled throughout his Busch Series career to find a consistent groove and by stepping into the No. 66 Cicci-Welliver Racing Chevrolet formerly wheeled by Todd Bodine in 2001 he hopes he'll find his niche to succeed regularly.
Fedewa shook off the effects of a motorcycle accident that caused him to miss a race and finished 18th in the Busch Series standings, with a victory, three top-5s and six top-10s in 30 starts. Fedewa made his 200th career Busch Series start in the season opener at Daytona. He earned his third career win from the pole after leading 118 of 200 laps at Loudon, N.H., in May.
Fedewa bounced back from his October bike crash with a fifth place finish in his first race back, at Memphis. He won rookie of the year honors in two Midwest short track series, ARTGO and ASA, in 1989 and 1991, respectively. He was second in the Busch Series RoY standings in 1993.
