After having run just three races in the past two CTS seasons, Ken Schrader picked up three top-10 finishes in five starts during 2000. The peripatetic racer from Fenton, Mo., plans a similar, limited truck series schedule in 2001.

Although his fifth-place at Dover Downs International Speedway was a highlight, he had a great shot at series victory No. 2 in New Hampshire where he led 59 laps before settling for ninth. Schrader was team owner for Lyndon Amick in two events, at Daytona International Speedway where he led and Indianapolis Raceway Park where Amick finished second to Joe Ruttman. Schrader has at least one top-10 finish in each of the five years he has participated on the series.

Shrader's series victory came in the tour's third race, at the old, third-mile Saugus Speedway north of Los Angeles in 1995. Schrader finished third behind Mike Skinner and Terry Labonte in the CTS's inaugural race at Phoenix International Raceway on Feb. 5, 1995. Schrader is one of four drivers, along with Labonte, Mark Martin and Bobby Hamilton, to have won Winston Cup, Busch Series and Craftsman Truck Series races. He continues to focus on his Winston Cup Series career where he's won more than $15 million and posted four wins in 492 events.
