   Dover Downs International Speedway is one of the most popular race destinations in the Northeast. It annually is the site for the biggest crowds to see a sporting event between New York and North Carolina. And with a brand of racing that is as intimate as it is intense, there's no wonder why people continue to flock to "The Monster Mile."

David Pearson, Cale Yarborough and Bobby Allison drove to victory in races at the track that picked up its nickname because of the tremendous physical demands it placed upon a driver. The first NASCAR Busch Series Grand National Division race at Dover Downs was held there in the series' inaugural season of 1982.
   Seating compacity is approximately 140,000, with skyboxes providing spectators with a complete view of the speedway and pit roads, as well as television for closed-circuit race feed. They are air conditioned, and come with a wet bar, private restrooms and full catering.
   Location: Track is on the east side of U.S. 13, one mile north of downtown, across from Delaware State University Campus.
