This NASCAR season ended the same as the three that preceded it -- with Jimmie Johnson hoisting the Cup Series trophy. The run at history began at the Daytona 500 in 2006 and morphed into a four-year highlight reel along the way.

Three honored with inaugural Craftsman Wrenchman awards

Craftsman and NASCAR have announced the winners of the inaugural Craftsman Wrenchman Award:

• Andrew Mason, Richard Childress Racing
• Ramie Jones, Braun Racing
• Bob Rahilly, Jim Rosenblum Racing

The Wrenchman Award recognizes behind-the-scenes crew members from each of the three national series who "turn the wrenches" but rarely get the recognition they deserve.

The winners were honored at the Wrenchman Award ceremony in Miami from Nov. 20-22.
